Potawatomi State Park, Sturgeon Bay

I love this area and that is why I wanted to come here for my birthday with my family and boyfriend. There is nothing wrong with the park to me. It is beautiful. BUT, there is only one thing that ruined my trip. That was the rangers. Mostly the woman rander. I felt like we were being watched the whole time. It made my trip not so fun. Beware. This is NOT a fun zone. Only if you stay at your site all day.

This is the 2nd time I've camped at Potawatomi. The first time was in 2005. I am not an outdoor girl, and am not a fan of camping. My husband loves it so we planned a trip with our group of friends. The park is very nice and clean. The shower building is clean and kept up. The water in the showers provides good pressure. The negatives: the rangers are very strict on the 11pm start of quiet time and do come around and check. It seems there are only a few 'full shower' buildings in the park, so there are times when the shower building is completely packed with little kids running around and making a mess. I'd defiently go back to this park, if my husband wanted to camp again.

We encountered some difficulties over the weekend, and the rangers are incredibly strict here. furthermore, the campsites were quite close together for my liking, but overall a nice park with a lot to offer.
