Standing Rocks Park, Stevens Point

Standing Rocks is one of the most amazing parks in or around Stevens Point, which is saying a lot. The dog park is nice and open with agility obstacles on which to practice. The disc golf course is the most gorgeous and fun parks I have ever played. There is a lot of elevation so it is quite a work out as well. The foliage is very impressive and the area is well groomed. I really like Standing Rocks and the only bad things I could say about it is that I am disappointed you have to pay separately for each activity you would like to do there. There is a different fee for biking, disc golf and the dog park. But I only complain about that because I am poor.

It's a great place to ski, whether you like to cross-country or downhill. They have a rope tow for downhill skiing, and this is where the crowds generally are. I suggest a leisurely trip on the nice network of cross country trails. They have many different kinds, rated from easy to intermediate to expert. They have a warming house with very reasonable food (try the bar-b-q sandwiches). You can change and leave things in here as well, while you're out on the slopes.
