Love the staff. They are knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Best place to buy skis from (being as, in Chicago, no one knows from cross country skis). Lessons are well worth it. Layout is nicely done. Trails range from easy to quite difficult enough thank you (yes, people have come in injured from some of the most difficult trails), and are usually groomed to perfection (we'll give them a few times when the snow was still falling). They plan lots of imaginative activities, especially for kids. We've been going for years. There are lots of places to ski in the area. Tried many of them and some up in the UP. Some are lovely but we still keep coming back to Minocqua.

The complete Midwestern x-country ski experience

Beautiful trails, nice lodge, friendly people. What's not to like? Minocqua, the nearest town, is a sizable city with plenty of hotels, restaurants, and amenities
