On my first visit to Kenosha 3 or 4 years ago, I was taking pictures of the North Pier lighthouse, I turned around and noticed a 2-storey building, saw it was a museum and from that point on was absolutely fascinated. Besides the dinosaur and the very interesting video about its excation and history, I was enthralled by the videos on the 2nd floor of the shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. Spellbinding! So much in so small a space. Love it. Also, a fine gift shop.
Well worth a quick look, the KPM has a great location overlooking the lake and is housed in an attractive building. Some dioramas by Lorado Taft and some nice New Guinea tribal art are among the highlights.
