A Lovely Village
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/07
Lewisburg is like a pearl! We stayed at the General Lewis Inn in downtown Lewisburg. It was a bit expensive and the room wasn't large, BUT the atmosphere and location were wonderful. This little town boasts many fine restaurants, antique shops, and a grand art gallery (Cooper's), all within walking disstance of the inn. The historic walking tour is interesting; there is a beautiful campus of a college here; Carnegie Hall and the Greenbrier Theater are first class facilities. All-in-all, we'll return at some date soon. We hope to visit the nearby Greenbrier Hotel to see how the other half lives, but for us Lewisburg was a return soon destination.

Cultural Oasis in West Virginia
By ArtG, 05/19/05
Lewisburg boasts the only other Carnegie Hall in the U.S., now marvelously restored and host to a wide variety of entertainment. However, our beloved Carnegie Hall is not the only cultural venue in Lewisburg. We can also lay claim to the only professional Actor's Equity theater troupe in the state. With their versatile "Black Box Theater", Greenbrier Valley Theater offers professionally done performances of all sorts, and I've never been disappointed!
