Great Greens!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/06
The actual course is excellent, with very fast and smooth greens. A few holes are poorly designed, but the rest of the course makes up for it. Will be challenging. Should play twice to learn the nuances. Members, Pro Shop, and staff could learn some manners. The arrogance found in these people is not justified. The attitude can wreck a great day on a beautiful course. If you can take poor treatment at the pro shop, grill, and on course by stodgy old rude members then its for you. Try it in the fall when they will give deals. Its worth a try

My boyhood "wonder-place"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/04
What wonderful memories! We would visit my Grandmother in North Springfield every 2 years and always go to Crown Point. I still remember each and every hole on that course with fondness. At that time the clubhouse and the small restaurant were in an old red house...wow, how I loved that place. The path from the 10th green to the 11th tee had a sign that marked it as a trail used by the Green Mountain Boys in the French and Indian wars. The red house is gone now, but not my memories. God bless you old golfers who got your tractors out and built that lovely place...may it always be there...I'll never forget it.
