Terrible Customer Service

We prepaid for a mask that the owner said he could order in for a us for a trip to Fiji, which was 6 weeks away. He said he could get it in 2 weeks. When I called in 2 weeks, they had not ordered it, and would call me back. I called again at the end of the day, and learnt that they had just placed the order. I tried to cancel it, and she said they couldn't cancel the order and that if I had called an hour ago, I could have cancelled it. She had said she would call me back, and when I hadn't heard from her by 5pm, I had called her instead. She said it should take a week. It's been a week and 2 days, I've called twice for it, given my number 3 times, and keep getting different responses. They couldn't give me any indication as to when they would receive it. He didn't know how to track the package which was coming via UPS. Our trip is next week. He's the only dive shop near us.
I thought he seemed like a nice man, he was friendly and personable. I am frustrated at the verbal responses that I received and no feedback when I have left my phone number twice with the assurance they would call me back. They did not seem to appear to want to appease me in any way. They obviously had made a mistake in not ordering it when they said they would, didn't apologise in any way and tried to cover it up. Telling me they would call me back, and not hearing from them, and getting two different answers is not assuring in the least. I would never go back there, as I feel I cannot trust them to do what they say they will.
