Don's Humidor, Waco

Since the name of the establishment is Don's Humidor, I guess cigar related products are what sells. As far as coffee, they should either maintain a good selection or just sell cigars. I have bought a coffee blend there for many years and now they have quit carrying this blend. When you like a certain blend and are accustomed to drinking it, changing is rather difficult. Of course I can go to Austin, Houston, San Antonio or other decent cities and had have coffee mailed to me, but convenience is nice. All I can say is this is what you get when you live in Waco.

I would most definitely reccomend Don's to any smoker! The staff is knowledgable, friendly & always happy! They aren't allowed to give out tobacco/cigarette/cigar samples anymore because of super-strict tobacco laws that have become more and more restrictive over the years. Definitely bring your ID because the "ID Nazi" will surely ask! The staff is comprised of coffee/tea drinkers &, of course, tobacco enthusiasts! If you have a question about anything, they have personally used the product & can provide useful feedback on all of their products! They have a very large walk-in humidor that could rival most humidors in DFW or Austin. The owner keeps the humidor well-stocked and completely full. There is always something special hidden under the counter so don't be afraid to ask for something in particular. The owner is always happy to make special orders for anything! Her pipe selection is also astounding! Only hand-picked pipes go into her showcase. Big names like Savinelli, Mauro Armellini, Hardcastle (Dunhill), Caminetto & so many more! There is tobacco for everyone! No pre-packaged junk here! The tobacco is always fresh & quickly rotated. Don's has everything from light & mild to straight perique & latakia. She also has every pipe/cigar/cigarette/tobacco accessory you could possibly think of! Don't forget about the coffee & tea! Gourmet coffee beans that are also extremely fresh & quickly rotated! There is also a large area for exotic, loose teas. The staff are all quite knowledgable about the tea & coffee as well! I learn something new every time I go in! I HIGHLY recommend Don's Humidor & Coffee Beans to anyone who likes coffee, tea or tobacco! They are also a great gift shop! They have a lot of unusual, classy items that make fantastic gifts! The walk-in humidor is the best in the area (unless you consider DFW part of the area. Despite what some others have said in their reviews, the owners are quite knowledgeable. The selection is quite good and if you are a regular, they will quickly learn your name and what type of smoke you enjoy. The pipe tobacco selection is also the best around and they are one of the only places that offers cigarette tobacco other than the standard top and bugler pouches. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and it's one of only a few places I've been where you can smoke in the store (just not inside the humidor) and try out some of the cigarette and pipe tobaccos before you buy. Some of the prices are a little higher than other local places, but you know you will get a well maintained, quality cigar- every cigar I bought at Crickets was dry, smoked hot, and tasted stale. If you don't know better, you may not notice a difference, but for experienced smokers it's the best place in the Waco area.

Don's Humidor and Coffee Beans has a great selection of high quality cigars, awesome coffees, beautiful cigar humidors, and large selection smoking accessories ranging from cigarettes to hookas. They also have exceptional customer service they are very knowledgeable about tea, coffee, cigars, etc.

Best cigar and coffee shop in Waco, TX, I promise. Large humidor, good selection, and unless you order by the box online the price cannot be beat.

If you love cigars like I do and live in or around waco then drive to temple. I won't say this place doesn't have a nice selection - they carry CAO, Hoyo de Monterrey, Cohiba, Romio y Julieta, amongst others (all legal of course). On the other had they excessivly push the cheap brands - with a catch. This place is prone to price gouging. One of their best tricks is to place the cheap ones right beside the expensive ones and jack up the price. And if your the type that reads cigar reviews on the internet don't come here to pick out those "nineties". Some cigars are, no joke, more than twice as high!!! You could come here, spend $10.00 on a R y J corona or torpedo or you could go to Ronn's down the street and buy double coronas in a glass case (R y J No. 1) for $6.50. I suspect they are higher because of the walk-in humidor. Needless to say guys in business suits buy there all the time. Bottom line, if your looking for good "harder to find" cigars you could come here. You'll pay top dollar but you'll have a vast selection to choose from. TIP-Crickets pool hall on Franklin sells a few rare churchills for a nice price.

It is definately a good shop. There are, however, a few other choices when it comes to smoke shops in Waco. There is the Wizard of Oddz on Franklin Ave that has a small selection of smoking material as well as two other straight smoke shop competetors, one of which is Ron's on Lake Lake Air, right before Bosque.
