Tyler Municipal Rose Garden
The Tyler Municipal Rose Garden is a 14-acre park, making it the nation's largest municipal rose garden. There are over 38,000 rose bushes providing 500 different varieties, from tall grafted rose trees to miniature roses no larger than a dime. The Rose Garden is the site of the popular Queen's Tea, which is held during the Rose Festival.
Great place to hold a family reunion, wedding, wedding shower, baby shower, etc. Our family has been using the Rose Garden for over 25 years. I do miss the original stair case. Check out the Rose Queen museum which a cousin once held the title of Rose Queen.
This is a really nice place to walk through during the warmer months. Most of the roses themselves are out in the open, but there is good shade on one side of the gardens. There is a short walking trail with some benches to just stop and relax. It would be a really great place to take a picnic and just enjoy the flora.
It's not really much of an attraction. The museum is cool, the flowers are pretty, but if you are going with kids, they will be very bored. But on a good note, it is a great place to have weddings and take pictures.
