These guys rock! I took my family snorkelling with American Diving and boy am I glad we did. The trip lasted 3 hours and included a marine biologist/ divemaster as our guide. It was more than entertaining, it was educational as well. All the equipment was in great shape and the boat had an air conditioned cabin that made things very nice for the wifey who got a little too much sun the day before. After talking to these guys about the diving around South Padre Island, I can definitely see myself coming back and getting certified to dive on our next vacation down there. The same company runs Dolphin Watches and eco-tours, which I also took the family on. Again we had a blast. The crew was fun, friendly and you can tell everyone loved their jobs (wish I could say the same). They drug a net behind the boat and pulled up a variety of fish and creatures from the sea floor. There were two different kinds of starfish, a small fish, a crab and slug looking thing called a Spanish flamenco or something like that. Overall we had a blast and would definitely go back again.
