Could be so much better
By Mobius, 01/20/10
This course has potential but there are issues. First off, the price is high for this town but they seem to know that there isn't much public course competition. Also, the bunkers are horrible. Most of them have rocks in them and they are inconsistent. Some have enough sand to splash the ball out but many of them have a thin coat of sand over hardpack. The course is pretty but it needs cultivation to live up to it's self proclaimed status.

What a nice place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/08
What a neat place to play a round. The golf course was fantastic and very difficult. They said there is 100 sand traps and somehow it felt like more. Cozy grill and pro shop. Pro shop had more than local golf shop as far as equipment goes. Also had better prices. Staff seemed nice and knowledgeable. i would recomend trying it out.

GREAT COURSE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/08
Loved every minute of it.. From the time I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff who were more than helpful. I had not played the course in years. It was much better than the last time I played it(new superintendent..I asked). Greens rolled true and the fairways were nice and tight. I found myself in several traps during the round but, was able to get out of them with ease. My only complaint would be the rough. They had it so tall I thought the US Open was coming the next week. I would recomend this course to everyone. It is a PGA layout in West Texas. Cant wait to go back!!!

Good value
By Rick C, 09/22/06
The course was ok for the value. It needs yardage markers on tee box and on the fairways. The bunkers need to have the gravel screened-out (my clubs took a beating due to the gravel). A cart girl on busy days.
