Sabine Pass Battleground - Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/04
We visit Sabine Pass Battleground yearly for a couple of weeks at a time. The camp grounds are very clean. You can watch all the big ships come in and out. The boat launch is extremely nice. Walking around the park is peaceful and their is lots to read about what went on during the war. Police will patrol the area, and there is always someone that runs the park very close - You can see where they stay from the park. You feel safe and our kids love going there. They ride their bikes, scooters, and just run and have a good time. I would highly recommend this park to anyone thinking of visiting the area. When you launch your boat, you can either go out to the jetties, or under the bridge to the lake. We have seen porpoises right out in front of where you fish of the bank. There is a couple and another man who run the park and they are always willing to help in any way they can. We think they are just wonderful.
