Yes! We had a great time!
By Lisa, 10/07/08
The one thing that I would change is the name "bed & breakfast." Breakfast is not yet included and lodge would have fit better. Other than that, it was WONDERFUL! The Elk Cabin was a great fit for 5 people. The play area with the tame deer and donkey was a complete hit for our daughter and the tour was informative without being preachy. Everything far exceeded our expectations. We want to go back next week! And in the spring and in the summer! It was the best of our vacation this year!

Great Family Vacation Spot!!
By dlg, 08/07/08
My family, and my mother-in-law, stayed there for 3 nights in their cabins. We were in cabin #2. This has 2 queen beds, a table & 2 chairs, mini fridge and microwave. The view of the sun coming up and then going back down was just amazing! If you stay in the cabins, you can take the tour as many times as you'd like. We went 3 times and had a new experience every time. I have a 7 and 4 yr old and they both had sooooo much fun! It is very child friendly. On the tours your children are incouraged to pet the animals and feel the different coats on the them. Instead of being told 'DON'T TOUCH THAT', they will hear 'Feel the soft/rough fur and their slimy wet tongues!'. We are from the Houston area and didn't want to spend alot withgas being so high. It took about 4 1/2 hours to get there. While there we also visited Pedernales Falls, LBJ's childhood home, and shopped in Fredricksburg. Everything is BEAUTIFUL in the Hill Country! The resort was incredible, the crew there are just delightful, and the price is beyond reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place! We decided to make this place the meeting ground for our Family Reunion. Since there are 5 cabins that can all sleep about 4-5 comfortably, there is more than enough room for all of us.

FUN FUN FUN
By CHOPPER, 03/19/08
WE TOOK SOME OUT OF TOWN GUESTS TO THIS ZOO, THE CHILDREN HAD A BLAST AS WELL AS THE ADULTS. THE ZOO HAS A MULTITUDE OF ANIMALS TO LOOK AT, AND THEY WILL COME CLOSE UP TO YOU TO FEED. THE ANIMALS FOLLOWED US AND THE KIDS GOT A BIG KICK OUT OF IT, EVEN STICKING THEIR HEADS INTO BE FED. YOU ARE PULLED BY A TRACTOR, IN A COVERED WAGON (WITHOUT THE COVER). AFTER YOUR RIDE, HEAD OVER TO THE BLUEBONNET CAFE IN MARBLE FALLS FOR SOME DOWNHOME COOKING....MAKES FOR A GREAT DAY OUT WITH THE FAMILY.

Been there - can't wait to go back!
By Rosalind, 12/15/06
What's to dislike?? The animals are up close & personal - almost to a fault - lol - youll love being so close to the animals & they love to be with you! The whole management team goes out of their way to make you feel like you're a participant in the total experience & the zoo itself. Everything is immaculately clean & totally comfortable. This was a memoriable experience for my son that he will never forget - nor will I. This should be an annual outing for any family. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience for the whole family! Just make reservations early as the cabins are usually full, but you can always take a daytrip out & enjoy the facilities.

What a great weekend!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
I traveled with my mother and a friend. Pullng down the drive just as the sun was setting on Friday night was like stepping into another world. All of a sudden all the cares and worries slipped away as we slipped into the peaceful surroundings. TV and computers were replaced by the many animals roaming free on the grounds. The cabins and ground a spotlessly clean. Where else can you experience the miracle of the birth of new born baby animals and sit back and watch them take their first steps. I highly recommend it! Too small
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/05
It was very nice to be able to see so many animals up close, however, the price of the cabins is WAY to high for the size of the cabins.
