This is really sad to hear that this church is lukewarm and it's ministers are not concerned about the needs of the community. I've heard unpleasant remarks about this church. No wonder churches like Irving Bible has expanded within it's ministries b/c other churches are dissolving them especially our younger generations. 30 years or less from now the baptists will no longer be around to minister b/c of their prejiduce, legalism, and lack of spiritual maturity within the word, relationships, and of course their faith. It is time for you hypocrites to repent or else suffer the consequences in the future especially baptist ministers who ONLY care about their salaries than the people around them. Sad day for christianity.
We have been members since 1990 but now visiting other churches. The reason: We don't agree with the contemporary service. The music is horrible and some members of the congregation look like they haven't had a bath in a week. Also, there is no place for children to worship during the second service. We don't feel this is a way to honor and worship our precious Lord.
I really was dissappointed with the Children's programs. We really tried giving the church several chances but it didn't have the substance that we needed for our kids. When my husband and I approached the Children's Pastor he was not wanting to listen to our thoughts and became very defensive. It is too bad because my husband and I really like the worship for adults.
I have never heard any other preacher deal with the significant role that Joseph played in the life of our Savior even though Joseph was never quoted in the New Testament and most folks never think of him as a leader. Dr. Branam was absolutely right-on with his Biblical study and sermon. He is one of the best preachers ever.
As a member, I've read these reviews and what strikes me is how the opinions seem to be polar opposites. Some love the church, some think it's awful. Could it be that quality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder? Maybe what you get out of the services and associations with the people is directly related to what you put in.
The pastor is amazing and occassionally gets laughter from the congregation. The people who go here are very friendly. There are 2 services, one at 9:00am and another at 10:30am. Sunday school is split up by grade for children and by stage in life for adults like Young and Married... The youth program here is why many people come to this church. They definetly fill all of your children's needs.
I absolutely love the church choir. They sing in both the traditional service as well as the contemporary service. I bought their Christmas CD after attending their Christmas musical. If you are looking for a spirit filled church with great music, this is the church to visit and join.
Service was great and the people were very friendly. The small group Bible study was wonderful. The KidStuf program was exciting can not wait to take the kids back next week. That coffe shop was cute and I enjoyed talking with people there.
