Galveston visitors looking for a place to enjoy nature, swimming, walking trails, fishing or just surf and sun usually find their way to this park. Covering about 2000 acres, the park reaches from the west island bay to the Gulf of Mexico. It is a family paradise with picnic grounds, observation towers, bird watching and full camping facilities. Evening outdoor entertainment is offered during the summer months and reservations are advised for overnight ventures. Located on the west side of Galveston, it is easy to spot. Bring along the family and have some fun in the sun.
I live here in galveston and my parents come to galveston to visit, they always stay at the galveston state park. I'll stay there with them and I think that its the cleanest most well kept park I've ever been to. You have beach access right there. And they also keep the beach in that area clean. give that you usually have to make a reservation, but hey that should tell you how popular it is. Its also a fair price to stay there. and they have all the acomidations you will need to have a successful stay there. plus if you have any questions the staff there is usually very helpful. I would definately recommend this park to every one I know who like to camp and have a good time.
