Eagle Pointe Golf Course, Baytown

I live in NE Houston and I thought I'd played every decent golf course in this town at least twice...boy was I wrong! This track was in prestine condition! Large greens in perfect shape and rolling at a smooth 10 or so. The course superintendent should be given an award for how well this course is maintained! Aside from Lochinvar and Redstone, Eagle Pointe is the standard in the Houston area. Don't let me focus on the condition lead you to believe it's a boring or easy track. Lots of elevation changes, rolling creeks, lakes, etc. The course stretches out to over 7,000 yards and it'll be handy if you can work you ball off the tee. Oh...and here's the kicker...it's never more than $55 and I played at 2PM on the weekend for $30. Take the drive once and I promise you'll head back again...I know I will.
