Lake Arlington Baptist Church

i have been going to this church all my life and there hasn't been a fault at all everyone loves and is very open to everybody new or regulars the worship is great even for the youth( i am one) and the youth program is amazing from past KIDSROCK experiences i love it it has great music that kids will enjoy there are skits that are hilarious( my dad is ranger john) there is cross trainers for 5th and 6th graders that go on mission trips and arte involved every sunday there is a great adults program according to my parents preevious experiences and i would recommend this church to anyone nomatter what age

I have read the reviews that several readers have left. I do not know anything about the past at this church, but I can tell you about its current status. The pastor loves God and devotes his life to sharing the message about Christ. Music, I am very traditional and the current music program is very well balanced. I have visited churches all over Arlington and this is one of the most solid and forward reaching in the area.

Pro's: Good Preaching and a very good children's ministry Con's: Church is all modern musically and there is no traditional hymns used. Sound is incredibly loud and we visited on a day when they basically told those who complained about volume to get over it. We found this extremely insensitive. Financial situation was the subject for the 3 straight Sundays we visited; not a great message to attract new people. Overall a good church if you are a younger couple with small to young children, but not a good place for older families.

I absolutely loved the worship at Lake Arlington. The music was exceptional. I really worshipped there. They also have a great worship tome for children called KidsRock. My kids talked about it for a week. I would encourage any family to visit this church.

What a grewat church!! My family instantly fell in love with the worship, preaching, and chiuldren's ministry activities. I would highly encourage any family looking to have a great family experience to visit this church

Pro: Excellent Pastor and preaching. Wonderful childrens area including ages running from Pre-K thru High School Cons: Openly comitted to services geared toward younger adults and children. Middle aged and older adults are left behind. There has been a large departure of both staff and older adults over the last two years. Traditional music has been dropped and is replaced by very very loud rock/jazz praise and worship songs. Church is currently hurting financially due to new gym/lifestyle center that was built last year. Some of the better programs might be cut or more of the financial burden shifted to memebers.

Where to Start. The Pastor is David George and his wife Brenda George have been such wonderful ministers to the faithful. If you are looking to sing praises to GOD, this is the church for you. They have teamed up with the City of Arlington with their YMCA Program. If you want to know more Stop by the church one Sunday morning or on a saturday night.
