Stopped for info and not one customer was there. Only two tours were available and the breakfast was way too much. Sure needed some maintance done. The road to it, was just passable. I am not taking a chance and spending my money there.
The food was good, but not as good as I had expected. The staff made sure we had plenty of coffee, orange juice and cold water, even after the meal was over: "we won't quit until your eyeballs are floating," one of them said.
The singing cowboy and comedy program that followed started off well, but it degenerated into
a right-wing political diatribe when the singer launched into his own composition, which he called
"P.C., and that doesn't stand for personal computer." It was derivative of talk radio and Fox TV, demonizing all the liberals these people love to hate. If that were not enough, the singer was deliberately rude to a guest from Massachusetts, stereotyping and insulting her as a liberal.
Raw, ugly politics is the last thing I expected at a Saturday morning cowboy breakfast, especially one we were paying for, and from the reaction of the audience, I think most there agreed.
Real cowboys aren't rude and insulting. That just ain't the cowboy way.
