American Museum of Science and Energy
Many exhibits on science, energy, and the world around us are on display at this museum where you can learn such things as how 75,000 people in Oak Ridge kept a secret during World War II and how Oak Ridge's leading edge technology continues to earn the U.S. the title \"Super Power.\" Live demonstrations, audiovisuals, and more will keep you entertained at this museum.

This place was awesome! We live just a few cities away from Oak Ridge in a small town called Lancing, it takes us about 45 min. to get to Oak Ridge. On days we don't have school or during the summers my 2 brothers and I enjoy coming here. It is so much fun!!!!
I live in Oak Ridge, so I get to visit the museum a couple of times a year when they bring in a new rotating exhibit. They just had one called "Animation." It was all about the Cartoon Network, and how to use science and technology to create characters, sound effects, etc. It was a blast! They're bringing "Beakman's World" in February, so I'll be going back again. They also just redid their "Oak Ridge Story" room that tells all about the Manhattan Project. Very interesting.
