Made up of active rowers and rowing enthusiasts, this nonprofit organization promotes the sport of rowing in the Oak Ridge and East Tennessee areas. They hosts a number of regattas throughout the year including the Lexus Mid-Central and the Scholastics.

Attracting Rowers from all over the USA

I was recently on hand for a regatta at the Oak Ridge Rowing Association Headquarters. I lost count of the colleges who had representative teams competing in the event and have to say that the atmosphere was electric! The course and scenery is beautiful, as were the hundreds of college athletes on hand to show their rowing skills and teamwork while fans cheered them on, I was amazed! My heart pounded with excitement. This place is GREAT!

Oak Ridge

There's not much to do in Oak Ridge exept row, but if you can row Oak Ridge has one of the best facilities. The only restaurants are Chinese and Mexican or fast food. There are not many hotels. There is only one nice one. The landscape is not anything special either. The only reason I would go to Oak Ridge is to visit family. I think that there are much better places to see and spend my money on.
