i went 2007 to cherokee park for the fireworks display. confederate railroad was there. the power went out and they had to get the generator to light off the fire works. the confederate railroad rocked. then they had music with the fireworks. it totally rocked will go back i plan to go see the show tomorrow night with my 4 kids.
First of all the campground was not very tent friendly. ie: very few level spaces for tents, what was level was rocky. The bath house was filthy, there wasn't any soap or paper towels during our entire visit, even though I asked the staff to fill them. I was told " we do not have any", yet there was some in another bath house, (on the other side of the grounds, near the ranger station). The toilets were full of wastes and didn't function properly. The showers were never cleaned, and the mens room had only one showerhead, but two shower stalls. My family and I love to camp, we go evey summer two or three times, this is not a place I would consider again in the future.
