Better than most historic museums

The beauty of history set amongst a grove of trees. Shady and peaceful in the hot summer sun. The village has everything from pioneer days down to an up to date funeral home. The village has 2 schools, jail, church, 2 barns, town hall, 5 log cabins, train depot, bakery, barber shop, hardware, bank, doctors office, printing office, sawmill, blacksmith and much more. There is a total of 47 buildings that have either been relocated or replicated in the grove. The Grove comes alive during the annual Wilson County Fair, when all the buildings are open and artisans are everywhere. Fiddling from the Stringtown General Store backstage, cooking hoe cakes, weaving, quilting, blacksmithing. History comes alive here.
