Good Course with a Great Driving Range!!
By ,
I play this golf course on a 2 or 3 time a month rotation with several of my other buddies. We travel around Knoxville and surrounding areas and play Once or Twice a week. The weather suddenly got warm in Knoxville these past few weeks so everyone was out during the weekends and played....play was a little slow on the front 9 but were able to speed up on the back and still played in 4 hours and 15-30 min. The course was still wet in some areas but we did have 4 inches of in early March. the greens were good, 2 were still recovering from last years HEAT but still VERY VERY playable. Also the driving range is GREAT!! Great $$ for the range but even better once the Bermuda is Green and you can hit off the turf!! I've been playing this course off and on for almost 10 years since I've moved to Knoxville. The course was a little rough several years ago but over the past 4 or 5 has gotten a lot better! I'm confused about the number of negative comments about the course, especiallly all the recent comments. The staff as ALWAYS been very friendly to me(knowing me by my name when I walk in) and has a decent Pro Shop...No clubs for sale but there are 3 other places to buy them in the area. Nice area to pick up a Hot Dog and Beer and hang out and talk about your round. Overall I would recommend this course to any golfers in the area or visiting Knoxville. Other courses Knox Muni, Whittle, Cenntienial, Willow Creek, Avalon are either too pricey or don't have a driving range.

Great Value
By ,
I have read some of the the negative reviews on this site and they are completely ignorant. I live in Atlanta and played the course passiing through town. For the money you can't beat it. Comparable courses where I live cost $50 and $60 to play the same. Plus there was not one course who wasn't affected by the weather this year, why would DHL be any different. I thought the staff was very nice, especially for a public golf course and will definitley play the course again. I have played a lot of golf courses and have found that you don't always get what you paid for, but in DHL case I think I did. If you want a perfect course, go pay $150 to $200 and play it.

REALLY?
By ,
Me and my friend went to play this course today and it WAS NOT IMPRESSING! The first three holes were mud and the rest of the course was like hitting off of concrete! $25 is way too much for this course, more like a $5 course to me! I found it funny that they were spray painting the fairway's green when we reached the 10th tee box! I will NEVER play that course again!

wow!!
By ,
i have played this course several times growing up. for the money i would rather play in the cattle pasture behind my house. at least i would get better lies! i dont know how this course has members or gets ppl to pay the rediculous prices. its an embarrassment to not only knoxville but the game of golf. the staff was rude and probably the least enjoyable group of people i have chosen to be around. hope this course goes under cause it might be the reason knoxville isnt known as a golf town! save your money! can play twice the course for half the money!

Bad Managment
By ,
The course was ok, some greens had bare spots, some fairways were as thick as the ruff, this course needs better mending. Also the manager Brian Loveday was rude and disrespectful, I wont play there again.

Nice course that needs tending
By ,
I've played this course about 40 times, only because my company's golf league plays here. It's a bit short but fun to play. The course isn't very well kept but you tend to overlook that. Friendly staff, does have a driving range. Close to downtown. No sand, some water, some woods. For a little more money, you can play at better golf courses in the area.

Good beginners course
By ,
I thought the course was pretty good for beginners, but it is pretty slow going on a busy day. I also think Williamallancarter needs to learn how to spell.

dead horse

It is not a very well kept course. I think it is good for beginners and juniors. If it was kept better and more yardage was added it would be ok.

What I liked about it is its golf park. It is huge and there are over 17 holes! They also have really nice staff.
