Not For Everyone...but FOR US! :)
By ,
I want to first say that I did read some of the reviews and I understand why some felt it was just "too much." This is clearly not the place for everyone when you walk in. It is very large and very in your face but relevant for today. My family and I just made the decision that this is the place we choose to be. We are even moving our family 40 miles out of our comfort zone to be closer to eventually serve. It has been such a blessing for many people and they are helping the community in so so so many ways. You will find friendly staff, helpful volunteers, and uplifting people that truly want to see people saved and enthusiastic about the endless possibilites in their life. The biggest part for us was the things that they did for the children. FP KIDS is one in a million!! If you want your kids to grow in the word, they can come here and be safe, secure, and LOVED. I love you guys at FPC, I love what you all are doing, and I pray for each and everyone of you daily!!

For Dara -
By ,
Dara - I am a person who thought very little about organized religion. To me, its always been a place of deception and contradiction. People going just to see who is with who, what someone is wearing, etc. I never believed in the "word" that was being preached. I am a spiritual person, I believe in God and I live my life in a good way so as to be closer to God, but church was a joke to me and a waste of my time. My first time at Faith Promise, I cried. Without a word being said, just walking through the door, there was a feeling of peace that settled over me. Now, I don't believe in having to devote my life to the church, but I believe in devoting my life to Jesus and to God. This church showed me how to be a better solider of God. I don't always agree with what is being asked of the parishioners, but the sermons will inspire those who are ready to accept God into their lives. Does this mean I am not a member of the church because I do not tithe or commit to the missions and groups - maybe. But the spirit is in this church, and if you just listen to the words and let the gospel fill you, you will be closer to God. The fluff of the building, the parking lots, the child care, not important. What is important is believing in God and having a place that moves you so much you are inspired to go to God.

Spiritually Alive \"WOW\"
By ,
I loved the music, the message, the atomosphere. In so many churches today it feels stiff and boring. I felt spirtually alive at FP. I will be going back and I would recommend, if you want a spiritual boost, that you go as well.

Great Church
By ,
I am a member at another church so i only go on saturday nights. The worship is high energy and the preaching is straight from God's word. Check it out for yourself. I do not think you will be sorry.

Don't Go!
By ,
I attended this church for several years and became increasingly uncomfortable with the changes. When the pastor talked about going to a monastery for a retreat and embracing the Silence, when the youth group had a prayer labyrinth and then there was the constant elevation of Rick Warren and his books- I knew something was wrong. Look up the terms emergent church and contemplative spirituality and you will see where this church is heading. Look up the authors of the books this church promotes, look up typical New Age practices and terms and you will see them in this church and in the messages. The gospel is not preached - only "feel good" pop psychology messages gleaned from popular books. Wake up people! There is a great deception going on in the church today and Faith Promise is leading the way.

A little taste of Heaven here on Earth!
By ,
I have been going to Faith Promise church for about ten years. I had just about given up on churches and I am very glad I visited. I read some other reviews that people did not like the music because it is loud, however, repeatedly in Revelations it talks about things being loud, so maybe this will get you better prepared for heaven. :-) Tennessee football games are loud, but I love them too! Pastor Chris feels more like he is teaching instead of lecturing, and many of the things I have learned over the years have also been helpful and motivational in my business. If you live in the area, do yourself a favor and at least give it a try, that's what I did about ten years ago.

Unbelievable
By ,
Blown away by how friendly everyone is when you walk in the door. It doesn't matter if it is your first time or your 1000th time -- you feel welcome! This church truly believe the Bible is the book to refer to in everything that is done at church or at home. The church staff truly loves the Lord and it is reflected in everything they do. Please come visit us!

Amazing
By ,
My family and I have been attending FP for a few months now and we all love it. The kids love Club 45 for 4th and 5th grade students. My husband and I both love the music and the message. Pastor Chris is awesome! I highly recommend FP to anyone looking for a church home!

Great to connect/challenge your Spiritual growth!
We moved to Knoxville 2 years ago and I had prayed about finding a new Church family for years, in preparation of us moving. God so overdelivered for us. We came from a close-knit awesome Church family that loves worship and increasing our relationship with the Above. So it was important to find a Church family that met my expectations of what being a part of a Church family is all about. I am confident that my prayers have been answered. I love Faith Promise and all that God has for us here. I love being challenged in my daily walk and being a part of something greater than myself. There are so many opportunities to serve and share God's goodness for the whole family, including my kids. The leadership at FP has a passion for following the calling God is taking us to and I love being a part of that! To me, it's not about having the best Church to attend but about being the best Church that is a part of the body of Christ.

FPC is all about worshiping God!
By ,
We moved to Knoxville 1 yr ago and were blessed to find FPC. There's something for everyone - all ages and stages of life and religion! It is a warm, welcoming, energetic atmosphere. The staff and volunteers are wonderful - and very organized. The worship is amazing, the kid's programs are fun - we have 3 kids ages 4, 10, and 12 and they love it. If you're new to Christianity or unsure, you'll become a devoted believer. You'll learn what it means to be a true Christ follower, not just a church attender. And if you've been a Christian your whole life, FPC and Pastor Chris will teach you things you never knew. And you will leave every Sunday wanting more! We do!
