Chez Guevara, Knoxville

I have ate at this restaurant for the 20 years. Best mexican food in knoxville, and most other cities. The best house margarita I have had. Buy a liter and see ! Buy some spinach con queso dip to go with the free chips. Have a zapnin, tacos al carbon, burrito grande ! marvelissimo !

Previously La Paz Rest. this is a long admired locals place. Kinda like Cheers with spice and art thrown in. The owners collection of eccentric folk art is incredable. But the true greatness is awsome food, with fast friendly service from beginning to end. This place has some 20 yr veterens who have reaped the benifits of a great staff to an all time high. I also commend the choosing of the name Chez Guavara. Makes me want to sneak into Cuba. Give this one atry. I also want to marry the places owner! We'll see!

From traveling all over the world, my favorite place to go when in Knoxville, Tennessee is Chez Guevara (former La Paz). The spinach con queso is wonderfully addictive. The service is excellent. The margaritas are too. Both their green & red salsas are incredibly delcious. When in Knoxville, do yourself a favor and GO! Order a "large" bowl of spinach con queso IMMEDIATLEY!
