I live about 45 min. from this winery and it is my favorite!!! Their wine is not sold in liquor stores but worth the drive. You must go it you get a chance.

Although the tasting room is nothing to get excited about, it is a neat looking building from the outside. I did not take a tour. The wine is very good. Probably the best strawberry wine that I have ever had (I have had a few dozen). Their wine has good body and is not watered down with filler grapes like Mountain Valley. Applewood (I think is the other winery) is good as well, but for traditional wines, I would stay with Smokey Mountain. When I was there, tasting was in a tiny communion like cup. I do think that it is hard to get a good taste and smell from the small cup, but everything I purchased was very good. Serving in a glass would really class this place up.

I always get the Mountain Red and Leconte Red. The staff is very friendly. I go to visit my brother at his gallery (Black Bear Art Gallery) and I have go the winery and buy my 2 favorites. Great ambiance.

Friendly service. Great wine. We sampled quite a few. Our favorites: Blueberry wine and the LeConte Red. They do not ship their wines and they do not have a tour of their winery.

it is a great place the employes are frindly and the wine was great.I stop by every time I go to Gatlinburg. I like the Blackberry wine the best but they have a great selection of wine for any ocasion,and i alway bring home a few bottles too give as gifts. Everyone that i have gave the wines too has loved it and wants too know when Im going back so that I can pick them up some more. So if you in the area stop in and check them out,I promise you if you a wine lover you will love it. The also have a nice gift shop with cheese and area sovinors. lock forward too going back in the spring

I recently visited the winery on March 11. My husband and I do alot of traveling but we have never been treated like we were at home like in this winery. The lady who waited on us was so helpful. She knew all the grapes that the wines were made with. We tasted them all and bought several bottles. We will most likely go back. This is what it's all about.

I arrived at the winery for a tasting. I was hoping to make a selection based on sampling a few wines. When I walked up to the wine tasting table the employee gave me a blank stare and no guidance. I asked to start with the first wine on the list. She said I wouldn't be able to sample all of the wines -- not that I'd even intended to do that. I asked for a sample of the merlot, which tasted salty. The next three wines I asked to sample were "out". When I asked for a taste of the fourth wine I was told I would have to try something else. At that point I politely thanked the employee and turned to leave. I also declined the invitation of a tour.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The wine was excellent. We brought back two varieties--the white muscadine wine and the American Riesling. The Riesling really surprised me by how good it is, because I am partial to German wines and have trouble finding American Rieslings I like. I wish I had brought back several bottles of it!

they make the best muscadine white wine I have ever tasted. When I serve it to my friends, I always get compliments. Of course, I offer it only to my best best friends because I have to get friends to get it when I hear they are going to Gatlinburg.
