Mysterious Mansion of Gatlinburg, Gatlinburg

me, my two dads, and two friends of theirs went to mysterious mansion at about 10:00 at night. we have a 14 year old, a 52 year old, a 46 year old and the two friends in their 30's. i was curious by the mansion many years before but never had the courage to go. also, i am more the type to enjoy real haunts, not the spooks of a man in a mask saying "boo". so i was tricked into going. but I DO NOT REGRET IT . when we walked up to the monster of a mansion, i was shakin' in my uggs. i was clutching to everyone's jacket, throughout the tour. all the turns and secret passages left everyone riveted. i was in the middle of the group, hiding behind everyone and that ghoul still got to me, not my proudest moment, but i might've slipped out a few 'unladylike words'. I believe it's honest to say we all had a good scare from mysterious mansion, the workers did such a great job, even though ther was only one, his timing was unexpected yet spot-on. even my dad(who is used to being the one who jumps out and scares people) had himself a good scream from the actors and other unexpected effects. we left laughing to tears from all the screaming we did. it's good scary fun without the nightmares. in my opinion,it's a must visit if your in the gatlinburg area. but don't just take my word for it, go now!

This place was awesome! These guys had so many secret passages that you never knew when they were going to show up! There was one point I grabbed my husband and held on to him because I knew something was fixing to happened. I kep talking to him telling him not to let go of me and he wouldn't talk to me I looked up and it was one of them I was hanging onto. I Screamed! My husband was behind me just laughing! It was a fun haunted house that was scary! Don't waste your time on the commercial haunted houses go to this one!!

We have been going to Gatlinburg for 25 years and this is one of the many attractions that we have gone into many times before and absolutely loved it. We have not gone into this attraction for a few years and we decided that in the spirit of Halloween we would this trip. It has gone way down hill from what I could remember in the past. They had 3 actors. They would jump out and scare you and then run ahead of you to the next room so they could scare you again. Seriously? It was completely lame and I will not be going back again. Not worth eleven bucks!

I loved the exterior of this building! I really looks like a haunted house. The creepy atmosphere continues as you walk inside. They guys working here were great and everything was very well done. I'm not a haunted house person-- I typically think they're lame. So I was nominated to be in the front. Even I got a little scared a couple times! It was very fun and I highly recommend it. If I remember correctly, admission was $11. I thought that was quite reasonable.

Wandering through a haunted house wasn't something we planned to do this July 4th weekend but it ended up being the highlight! My dad and I love scary movies and such and this made us feel like we were living in one! LIVE characters jump out at almost every turn and even from above. The guys' husky voices were creepy in and of themselves and the fact that one would occasionally follow us then suddenly be gone was even moreso. I felt like I was still being followed later on in the day in broad daylight. FREAKY. The fact that you don't have a clearly marked path and are constantly going up and down and into dead ends just hightens the fear. I'm a local and it's definitely an attraction I'm going to recommend to others who come through the area. They may have backed off a bit if my 6 year old cousin had come in with us but, since he didn't have the nerve to even step inside, they seemed to go full blast and even I was wondering "how much longer?" because I was scared. I kept laughing at myself because I kept screaming. Sure, some more cheesy props make up some scenes but then you're always questioning whether it's really a dummy in the corner or someone about to jump out at you. It was all in good fun though and we even chatted with some of the guys afterwards. It was absolutely awesome. You MUST visit the Mysterious Mansion. You won't regret it.

I loved everything about it! It really scard me and my family my dad doesn't scare easy and it got him good! The person who put it all together is a genius. Thanks it was the best one ever!

Me and my boyfriend absolutly love this place. it always scares me and my boyfriend always runs off and helps them scare me lol. we go every year we just went this weekend and it was so much fun. we went last year in october and went twice in one day. the actors are very good and they will deffenitally scare you and jump out from the ceilings and unsuspected places. it is well worth the money and they dont harrass you to buy more tickets and stupid flash lights that you dont need like ripleys does. I will go back probably a few more times this year with my boyfriend and i know we will continue to go as we live our lives together. he grew up going to it and i know when we have children they will be raised in the same experience =]. You should deff go and try it out.

I totaly hate haunted houses. I wanted to do things with my 3 teenage sons that was interesting to them. So I agreed to go in with them, it about scared me to death. I heard this commotion around the corner and was trying to peak around to see what was going on, when I turned back to talk to my sone I was face to face with one the characters dressed up I screamed. My oldest son it was not very scary for him, but he enjoyed seeing my reaction to being scared. Definitely enjoyed the experience.

The first time I went here I was eight, and I only went through because my Uncle Chuck, (Charles Moore,) forced me to, and it scared the heck out of me. The actors jump from balcony to balcony and go on the ceiling and make sparks, and I practically ran through, only because they were blocking the emergency exits! I was kicking my family when I got out, but then started laughing. When I visit I basically lived there, and now it's one of my favorite places on earth. I won't give too much away though, because the secret to a good haunted house is a bunch of secrets!
