I walked the mile from my hotel and found this lovely place! Great yarn and spinning supplies. There were bags of wool/alpaca waiting to be washed and carded. Owner was friendly, knowledgeable and patient as I perused the store a few minutes before closing. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area.
On a recent trip to the Smokies, I found the Smoky Mountain Spinnery. It was a wonderful treat. I found many different and unusual yarns from which to choose. The prices were very reasonable. The shop will be a must for my next trip.
Nice, small selection of beautiful yarns. I don't spin, but I found plenty of great things for knitting! Inspiring samples, too, and wonderful owner. Will make a point to go back on my next trip in the spring! (Great jam/jelly store right next door, too.)
This is such a great shop-plenty of fibers and yarns to choose from, excellent book titles, etc. And the owner was so friendly and helpful! I'm delighted with my purchase, and I'm looking forward to visiting again on our next trip.
