We have been going to Gatlinburg for over 20 years and it is our family tradition to go here first thing and eat breakfast. It is great food, atmosphere and good value. We have always been teated well and have no complaints.
My Family And I heard about this place from many people in town. The hotel we stayed said try it out.We had breakfast there and was not happy with it.My scambled eggs did not taste right.Sausause seemed like it was old.Biscuits not Soft and fluffy.Been to many restaurants in the Us And California and i must say this is one of the worst i have been to.
We had a booth table near the where the food comes out of the Kitchen---Lets just say i heard ringing in my ears for like 45 minutes.Whatever Bell the have there it needs to be turned off.It was so annoying.I swear they must of pushed it like 50 times in a row.I had a Western Omelet The Vegeatbles came Raw inside. Most good Restaurants would cook them on the grill and place them in the omelet. Then i ordered an Ice Tea that cost $1.99 !!!!I will not return to this place in the future.
We waited in line for about 20 mins. The hostess seemed in a very bad mood.My wife and I had the Salad Bar and Buffet.I was not impressed with it at all.I had better buffets at Shoneys and paid alot less.
My advice "It's not worth the wait or the money"
Our waitress "Beth" was the worst as she started out telling us her personal problems. Slow service and cold food. She forgot everytime we asked for something. Said "well try us again maybe tomorrow I won't be so mad at my boyfriend." What ? DO NOT GO HERE its awful NOT now and NEVER recommended.
I orded the omlet and it was not done, the onions & peppers were not cooked and the cheese was all in one place, the back. The food also made my mom and I very sick. The water even tasted funny.
The best thing was the Orange Juice.
I was recently in Gatlinburg for Winter Xtreme with the youth from my church. One morning the girls wanted to eat breakfast there ... and it was fabulous!! I have told everyone I know to go get at least breakfast there once. If you want some "home cooked" type food (that isn't too expensive), I would highly recommend going. I can't wait to get back and eat there again!
I enjoyed the visit to the pancake house... The food was great... I was there a few years ago and a guy named Robert was the Buffet cook... I must say he cooked the best ribs I have ever ate. I was back in Gatlinburg this last week and I went to the log cabin and though the food was still great I missed Robert...
I think if you make it to Gatlinburg you need to stop in and pay the log cabin a visit... I can say you will enjoy it very much...
