Less than nine miles from the historic towns of Lead and Deadwood, Terry Peak Ski Area in the Black Hills includes elevations ranging from 5,900 feet to over 7,000 feet. \"Home to South Dakota's only two high-speed detachable quad chairlifts,\" Terry Peak is \"the highest lift-served area east of the Rockies.\" Terry Peak Ski Area features a terrain park, five lifts, more than 20 trails, rentals and ski and snowboard lessons.
