i love are mall i grew up in this mall(not really but i was always there)it is a safe family place stuff for kids, teens, and adults i luv it u can not really exsplain it but u got to go there for ur self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two friends and I drove 68 miles to go to this mall and we didn't make it 50 feet into the mall before a security officer flagged us down. Apparently this mall has a policy where people under 18 aren't allowed in the mall after 6pm without their parents. My friends and I are 18 and 19 but one of us forgot our ID so we were escorted out of the mall by two security guards.
Terrible mall to treat three adults like that. The whole place seemed a bit run down as well. Will never return to this mall.
The mall has recently implemented a "youth escort policy" on Friday and Saturday nights and wow has it made a difference. Families are out in force on those nights and having a great time. I manage one of the stores and am really grateful of what mall management has done. My sales are up and shoplifting is down....great place to shop on the weekend...friendly atmosphere.
We travel I26 frequently to the beaches in South Carolina and Spartanburg is usually about where we would like to take a break from driving or eat a meal or snack. The mall is in an excellent location to the interstate and would appear to be a good place to stop. Unfortunately there is very little choice and - other than a restroom - is pretty much just a waste of time. Encouraging travelers to stop over would seem to be a good way to increase foot traffic for the retailers so it is puzzling why they don't leverage the location better.
I live about 5 min. away from the Westgate Mall so I know allot! about it. It is okay but not the best mall in the world. It is semi big and has a lot of well known stores like Dillards, Sears, JC Penny, a new Holister, Aeropostal, American Eagle, etc. Also this mall is a kind of mall to do little shopping.
Would definitely love to see a new store that belongs to Christopher & Banks that carrys Women's sizes. I can't remember the name of it, but it is so wonderful and I have shopped them in Upstate New York while visiting. I think there is a need for this type of store as most people otherwise have to shop Lane Bryant, which I feel is too expensive, confining your choices and styles. I do not like Lane Bryant. This new store is fashoinable, sells quality products at reasonable prices and a little competition never hurts!!!
