Great Layout
Especially great Arthur Hills lay-out. Greens were a bit slow but very playable. Golf staff was not the friendliest but were efficient. Grill food was very good and service very satisfactory. The only real issue was the condition of the course itself. Fairways were nice, bunkers neatly maintained but the rough was unplayable. I have played US Open venues and the rough was not nearly as deep, thick or overgrown. The rough must have been at least 4 to 5 inches and there was no FIRST CUT, even around the greens, so getting up and down from anywhere but the fairway proved to be completely impossible. Spoke with a member who stated, "That they had a local rule, that if you knew and your playing partners agreed as to where a ball entered the rough, and it could not be found, you could drop and play another ball with no penalty". This also caused play to be very slow because everyone was always trying to find lost balls on every hole.
I would still recommend this course if they cut the rough to a reasonable 1 to 2 inches maximum.
