Especially great Arthur Hills lay-out. Greens were a bit slow but very playable. Golf staff was not the friendliest but were efficient. Grill food was very good and service very satisfactory. The only real issue was the condition of the course itself. Fairways were nice, bunkers neatly maintained but the rough was unplayable. I have played US Open venues and the rough was not nearly as deep, thick or overgrown. The rough must have been at least 4 to 5 inches and there was no FIRST CUT, even around the greens, so getting up and down from anywhere but the fairway proved to be completely impossible. Spoke with a member who stated, "That they had a local rule, that if you knew and your playing partners agreed as to where a ball entered the rough, and it could not be found, you could drop and play another ball with no penalty". This also caused play to be very slow because everyone was always trying to find lost balls on every hole. I would still recommend this course if they cut the rough to a reasonable 1 to 2 inches maximum.

Very nice location, design, and surroundings. Will not recommend play though as the greens are burnt and extremely slow. Horrible greens for the price. Ruined an otherwise great course.

This course is one of the most beautiful courses I have played. We played 18 holes in 3.5 hours at a leisurly pace, enjoying the great views while playing. Great clubhouse with excellent food at an affordable price. I can't wait to get back. Jack

I felt like I was on the SS Minnow! Only $65 per head but the price was way too high - four holes out of 9 had 3 sets of golfers on them at a time. I had to watch the same 4 some tee off 4 times - and they were awful to watch. We left in disgust

Have golfed here many times. The course offers a challenging lay-out and the accomdations are pleasant. Also have had lunch at the grill and it is quite affordable with a great atomosphere. Tedd Davis, Michigan
