Please do some research on this place before visiting; I wish I had. The country is classic low-country swamp land, with "rustic" camplike accomodations. The quality of the hunt was poor; at best. The land has been TOTALLY overhunted, and the specimens lack MUCH to be desired. Over 2 days, I saw no hogs (probably because I learned later that my guide didn't bother to bait my stand), and the 3 that I saw that were killed averaged around 100-130 lbs.-far from the monsters I envisioned.
It's a classic case of overhunting, the land's resources are treated much more like a factory, and not nearly like the gift it once was. The best thing that could happen here is to close for 1 year solid to allow some recovery, and then hunting on a very limited basis.
