I was visitng friends in Greenville, SC for the Artisphere Festival. A highlight of the Festival was catching a free performance of Carolina Ballet Theatre in a beautiful setting on an Open Stage along the Reedy River. They danced to rock music like Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" and "Bicycle" by Queen. The show was very enjoyable, I never saw ballet like that and such talented dancers! Lot's of Men too! I suggest putting Carolina Ballet Theatre on your entertainment list when visiting Greenville.
Carolina Ballet Theatre is an amazing group of professional dancers who have trained around the world. Greenville is so lucky to have such a group in town providing world class enertainment! CBT will make you a tremendous fan after watching their talent in person. They are truly a captivating group of dancers with extreme athleticism and skill! They demonstrate easily why they can call themselves the Upstate's only professional dance company! They are a MUST SEE for everyone living or visiting Greenville!
Wow! Now we know what Art in Motion is! THese dancers are awesome. Such talent! I have seen several performances now including "Arriving In Indigo City", "Classics Rock" and a Fundraiser where the dancers performed to Beatles Music. It's a blend of classical and contemporary dance. I find being in the CBT audience to be an engaging experience that reaches deep into my heart!
Carolina Ballet Theatre is now a small professional company and the school is one of the best in the Greenville-Spantarburg area. The shows are all at the Peace Center. The training is very demanding but the atmosphere is relax.
This is a place where art is celebrated in a safe envirioment directed by couple with three childrens.
Highly recomended for professional training, many oportunities to perform at the stunning Peace Center.Kids learn the ethic of work and responsability.
