Fantastic!

On Friday, August 18, we went on a boat ride from Georgetown, SC on Captain (Cap'n.) Rod's
boat from the bay at Georgetown 14 miles out to a barrier island, stopped there for an hour and a quarter and walked around the island searching for seashells. Most of us found some nice shells. On the way back Cap'n Rod told us about the history of the area, about the plantations, etc. He pointed out dolphins, bald eagles, golden eagles, pelicans and other birds.
If you go, make sure you wear your bathing suit as the swimming there is also wonderful, and the best shells are found in the water. Can't wait to go again next summer! Highly recommended as long as you can walk.
