every time that i have visited river runner they have criticized the gear that i have and tried to get me to purchase outrageously priced gear instead. their staff doesn't seem to care, they're just focused on the sell. also, they don't have their merchandise priced so you have to ask them for the pricing. this may be a "technique" used by the store to start a conversation between the staff member and the customer but it gets irritating if you're just looking around

Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located down columbia. The staff takes people down the Saluda river it is very fun. When i went down the river with River Runners they let me experiance kayaking and i have never stopped.

Staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't go anywhere else after seeing this store's high level of service...A++. A must-recommend outdoor recreation shop. I bought a kayak, vest, paddle, and roof-rack system. They even helped me install the roof-rack!
