Unlike some of the other outdoor places in Columbia (Half Moon Outfitters), the employees at the Backpacker are passionate about the outdoors. They have a great selection of outdoor gear, and can usually help you decide what you may need. It's easy to spend a lot of money in there though, so watch out. Overall, I highly recommend The Backpacker as your first stop if you are in Columbia, looking for gear, clothing, etc that is outdoors/climbing/hiking/etc related.
