This place SUCKS! Stay away!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/10
I went here on vacation and completed my "pottery" along with my 3 other family memebers. I spent over $100 total and was supposed to get my things shipped to me 5 days later. 2 months later, still having received nothing, I called to inquire and the lady with whom I spoke was very rude and said they simply "forgot"-she offered no apology whatsoever. I asked her to ship it and to not charge me for the shipping (I'd left my credit card info. for them to bill the Fed-Ex charge) and she laughed at me and asked why they would do that. I then procedded to tell her that I could dispute the charge of the original purchase with my credit card, since I didn't receive the merchandise and she advised me that they had my receipt and nowhere on it did it say that they were to ship me my products. I told her it said "Items to be Shipped" stamped on my receipt and this is when she finally took me serious. She was very condesending. I then found out that this rude lady was the owner. She ended up shipping me the merchandise and not charging me, however, she was very unprofessional and knows NOTHING about customer service. Also, her store is a mess and although we'd never been there before, did not bother to show us where stuff was, or the process, until we asked-each thing individually, it was like pulling teeth! Her store also lacked a lot of pieces-letters, numbers, etc., that places like Color Me Happy have plenty of (I've since visited other pottery painting places). I don't live in SC, but if I ever go back, I will not be visiting this place!

Love them!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/07
Love the platter! My boys love to paint there and the staff has always been very helpful. Summer camp was great for my older son - can't wait until my younger son can attend. We live near by and it is a great part of town. Shandon, Heathwood and Melrose Heights are family friendly areas.

Awesome Gift Idea
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
Can't find a better place for kids and adults alike to make one of a kind gifts - I have taken my neices here several times to make mugs and plates for other family members. Even made Christmas Ornaments with my dogs' paw prints on them! The staff is great - local college girls that really take the time to help, and the owner is super creative and helps out with fund raisers at all of the schools. As for the comment about the area....since I lived there, take offense. Right on the edge of best neighborhood in Columbia! If you are looking for a great way to spend the afternoon and have an original piece of art to show for it, this is the place! I love The Platter!

Great idea, terrible execution
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/07
Paint your own pottery for an event is a great idea, but this isn't the place to do it. It is located in the most crime ridden area and to top it all off the woman that runs the place is rude. I've had a much better experience at Two Peas in a Pot, and they are much more kid friendly. The pottery isn't junky at two peas and your overall experience will be a pleasure.

Fun for all!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/06
For creating a unique gift, this is the place. I have made Christmas Ornaments every year with the kids - they have items for every event and the staff is very creative. The owner is there everytime I've visited and helps however she can. They have special projects all the time and Diva Night is great - my friends and I have a blast. I reccommend it for all ages.

The Mad Platter is awesome!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/04
I have gone here many times and it is a blast! The employees are fun and helpful, and my pottery always looks wonderful, even though i am artistically challenged! The prices are very reasonable and they have fun events such as Diva Night and College Night! A great activity for those of any age!
