Downtown Marina Of Beaufort, The, Beaufort

The marina is located within easy walking distance of downtown. Although the town gets quiet in the evening, there are wonderful restaurants open. During the day, there's lots of shops open. The laundry facilities have several machines. The showers have good pressure. There was about a seven-foot tidal range. Although the current can be strong, the alongside docking (on the long outside dock and long fingers) helps to avoid manuvering through a strong cross current. When I was there, the seawall was undergoing major repairs. However, the work didn't seem to interfere with my experience.
