Customer service LACKING!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/11
Upon first walking into the shop, we were greeted by Andy and immediately waited on. At this point I thought everything was going great. I needed to get pictures scanned onto a disc to put in a slideshow for my upcoming rehearsal dinner. When I pulled out the pictures, it was obvious there were copyright issues- of course, I didn't even realize this was a problem. Everything would've been fine if the "general manager" Trey Martin hadn't walked over and started going through my pictures and telling me that they couldn't be scanned, they were copyrighted. It wasn't even the words he was saying, but the way he said them. These pictures we were talking about were from 20+ years ago, and did not contain a single watermark, aside from the word "Kodak" on the back of the pictures! When this was pointed out to him, he said "it doesn't matter, I can tell it is copyrighted". I was a little frustrated after having driven 40 minutes to get there to be told no, and not even in a friendly way. Trey was rude, snappy and demonstrated absolutely NO skills in customer service- a trait that is essential to being a good manager. I can not believe he still has a job because he sure ran me off! I know copyright laws exist, but we are talking about a personal slideshow for viewing only by close friends and family- I doubt the copyright police would show up and say "surprise!". I left the establishment completely shocked and offended over what had just happened. No customer should be treated like that and I will NOT be returning. Thanks for ruining my morning Chris' Camera!
