Description

The cornerstone of the John H. Chafee Blackstone Valley National Heritage Corridor, this historic site is a living history museum on the Blackstone River that includes the Slater Mill, Sylvanus Brown House and the Wilkinson Mill. Exhibits, collections of artifacts, grounds and gallery, a research library, theatre, gift shops, concerts, demonstrations, lectures, family programs, specialized tours, holiday programs and exhibits of fine craft and artwork are offered at the Slater Mill.

Worth the trip

The best thing about this place is that it's very well kept. All the work ever done on the building has been kept true to the time. My father took part in its restoration. Worth the trip just to sit by the falls. Though the area is built up. Enjoy.
