Don't bother with buying a season pass!

I bought a season pass for 2009, which turned out to be a huge mistake. I only went once when I was able to use it for a whole day. The second time, we got there at 4:00 and were greeted with a sign saying that the park would close at 4:00 due to a bad weather forecast. So, we went there for no reason and had to turn around and drive right home in rush hour traffic. Also, it remained bright and sunny for hours after 4:00, so I thought their stated reason was fishy. I called them later and they told me the real reason for closing was that they did not have enough lifeguards. Well, I don't appreciate being lied to, or not being able to use my season pass for no good reason, or having to waste time and fuel. The next time I went, I carefully checked their website and called their office to make sure it would be open, but to no avail. When we arrived, we were told they had just decided to close 2 hours early because there weren't enough people to justify keeping it open. This, without any notice whatsoever. So, we were there for an hour. Then, we went to the Sandbar, and I was denied alcohol because I have an out-of-state driver's license which for some reason they entered onto a computer registry. The bartender then informed me that the computer displayed me as underage and there was nothing they could do. I have never had this happen before, because I have a valid unexpired license that shows my birth date as 1984. Of course, I was not surprised, because by then it was clear that Sandcastle is managed completely incompetently and not with the patron in mind at all. The bottom line: a season pass is not worth your money because management will close the park at a whim if they are not turning enough profit. Horrible.
