Amazingly prepared food that was absolutely delicious. the service was outstanding and certainly a 5-star experience. definitely try the tavern and if you have an immense appetite - get the prime rib!!
my wife and i were on hand new years eve 2004and dropped in @ 5:30pm no reservations- the joint started filling pretty quickly after that.
without doubt the best (and largest) prime rib i have ever tasted cooked just how i like. my wife's entree also excellent. low pressure, mindful wait staff, friendly atmosphere. Back in february no doubt.
I ordered their house specialty - Spinach and crab meat rolled into chicken - and was told that it wasn't very good.
Ended up with something similar: baked chicken with crab meat on top. Steamed vegetables and rice pilaf made it feel like a wedding banquet dinner. Wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't $20.
Wine selection is mediocre and overpriced.
Go drink at the bar, but skip the dinner service.
