Description

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, invites you to live the excitement and adventure of Her annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire of jousting Knights and royal delights. Thirty-five acres of mirth and merriment await as hundreds of colorfully-costumed characters breathe life into an authentic recreation of a 16th century English Village complete with dozens upon dozens of authentic Tudor buildings. Musical performances, magic acts, fire-breathing stunts, puppet shows, Shakespearean plays and comical mud beggars are just a few of the many shows, over 90 stage shows daily, unfolding on 12 stages. Enjoy period foods, micro-brewed ales and sweet wines from 23 Royal Kitchens or shop from scores of Renaissance merchants.

Not Family Friendly At All

The profanity and vulgarity are not contained within a few shows anymore. It spills out onto the streets and is unavoidable. Today my 16 year old was treated to the middle finger by a shop keeper. It was suppose to be a joke, but paying $30 per ticket to be flicked off is not funny. It makes me wonder if the actors are using the shock factor to hide a lack of talent. 15 years ago, the actors had enough talent to make us laugh without resorting to obscene language or behavior.

Excellant time to be had by all. Discounts available by picking up coupons at various areas like Burger King, ordering tickets online or buying from AAA. Great food, excellant joust, and my blue haired son fit right in and was thought to have had the plague LOL....

Rain Passes are given if they close early

In response to: No Refunds or Rainchecks!!! We too went Saturday Aug. 13, 2011 and when the faire was officially closed due to the weather around 4:30 everyone received a rain pass as we left through the gates. Being that it was so late in the day I thought it was very generous. We had many hours of entertainment before the rain started and were able to come back for free!

No Refunds or Rainchecks!!!

Terrible customer service. We went August 13, 2011 and the place was rained out. Conveniently, the ticket office shut down so no one could get a rain check. I've called 3 times and no one has responded to me. Today is August 25th and still no response. Don't go to this place is there is a chance of rain because they will no honor or give a rain check or return your calls. They essentially stole the $60 from us. We were only there for a short time. So dissappointing.

Great time

They did have a senior citizen discount of 5 dollars each. Some reviewer said they did not. There is also a student discount. This was the pirate week and the weather was nice, a little warm but less humidity than last year and that was better. We had a friend come along and enjoyed it very much. It is nearly the same every year so if you miss a year, no problem.

I took the boys to this fair last year and it was a wonderful experience. The fair is full of energy...great music, great food, and exciting activities. I am taking the boys back on october 21st this year. Dina

NO SENIOR DISCOUNTS

I was dissapointed to see that there are no senior citizen discounts for this place. Also no AAA, AARP, however they give other promotional discounts to other groups. What's up??

A FAIRE TIME AT THE FAIRE

an excellent time to be had by all, young and olde..go in costume...practice thine elizabethan tongue...most fairegoers were in costume. improvise...use an oversized tee with a wide belt or use a burlap bag...don't miss the final joust...excellent pomp

Go every year

The atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone is so helpful all the time. The shows and food are to die for and handsome pirates and nobels alike great you everywhere you go. You really feel like your back in time.

A great place to go

It was fun I went last year with my boyfriend and his brother and sister-in-law. We all enjoyed everything that they had going on. It is a great way to get people into the history, and a fun time. It had a big crowd, alot of people got into custom when they went. Try it yourself I bet you would just love it.
