Beltzville State Park in LEHIGHTON, PA

i would just like to correct the misinformation here. Jim Thorpe is about 15 minutes from Beltzville State Park. (park is most enjoyable in the off-summer months when peace has been restored to this beautiful locale.)

i wouldn't swim there

boating, fishing, water sports, paths all good...the swimming area is terrible, lots of people from surrounding cities...the swimming area is sometimes closed due to people using the bathroom in the water instead of the bathroom
