Amazing Place to See a Show

Mauch Chunk Opera House is a Vaudeville-era opera house in Jim Thorpe, PA with great acoustics. A local production company called JTAMS handles the bookings which fit the theatre very well. They also create a lot of great atmosphere, very relaxed, beautiful art in the gallery which is part of the seating area. Floor and balcony all great places to take in the show. I saw an amazing bluegrass-jamband called Hot Buttered Rum that hails from California, but has played the venue three times. Last time I was there I saw a solo performer named Jeffrey Gaines- the venue was perfect for this guy, powerful voice, great entertainer. Really, you should check this place out!
