disappointed
By ,
I think the park was kept clean, however, I was a little disappointed in the website description. It said there was a playground & swimming. It did not go into detail that if you were a non-resident you had to pay an outrageous cost for swimming. For those who have a large family...it could be costly. When you ask a question regarding parking with different vehicles, you get a different answer every time. Then after we were told one thing one day, the next day, we had to pay an additional fee for a parking permit. Will I ever go back there?... probably not.

Great place to get away
By ,
I"ve been going there since 1981, and it is an absolutely great park. I started out going with a bunch of friends, now I'm taking my grandchildren. The camping facilities are well maintained, bathrooms always clean, and there always is a park ranger around if you need him. Lake Marburg is beautiful, and the fishing is usually pretty good. We always have a great time, there are hiking trails, boat rentals ( the prices are reasonable ) , and the pool, always something to do. The location is great also, you are only a few miles from Hanover, PA , so if you need to get food or something, just run into town. It is also only about 20 minutes from Gettysburg, if you want to take in a little history. I can't say enough about Codorus, I've been driving there from Philadelphia at least once a year for over 25 years, in fact I'm going back in July, I highly recommend Codorus State Park

Our Family Camping Trip
By ,
Camping at Codorus State Park was wonderful. The grounds were clean and tidy and there was always help if you needed it by the park employees. They had the summer blast going on so we were able to see fireworks on the lake as we sat on a blanket (watch out for the geese droppings) I enjoyed the music, food, crafts and events. There was a nearby bait shop where we got subs and bait to go. And back to a clean lake to fish. I can say for my family we thoroughly enjoyed our get a way to Codorus.

One of Pennsylvania's most beautiful lakes!
I really enjoy going out on a pontoon boat or kayak on Codorus Lake. It's always so quiet and peaceful. The trails are well maintained, and not crowded, even in the middle of summer. Most of the campsites are in the woods and shaded, but for those who like it, there are some in the sun.
