We should have stayed longer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/09
We liked everything! We extended our stay to 3 nights and it wasn't enough! The animals were all very tame and lovable. The humans were too. We will be back, and we hope to do it very soon. (We went to see the battle reinactment, but the land of little horses is what we loved about the trip.)

My kids loved it!

It is a great small farm for small children to visit. We spent several hours there and had a good time seeing all the animals and watching the shows.

Screw you haters!

I would like to comment on the people who claim that the Land Of Little Horses is a waste of time and money, and to those people who think that the animals are not well taken care of. I would like to tell you people that the Land of Little Horses does all that it possibly can to make sure that those animals are well taken care of. Stop complaining that the animals may not have water, I would love to see you take care of over 100 animals, when there are also other things to be taken care of. All of the animals are in great condition, and if they weren't I dont think that the 37 year old horse would still be living. Do you really understand how much money it costs to run a place? And you are complaining about spending $21 for you AND your two kids?! If the Land of Little horses did not collect money from the visitors then the animals would not exsist. Why does Hershey Park cost so much when no ones lives are at risk if not paid. The staff is absolutely wonderful and it is obvious how much they care for these animals, and that the animals love them back. Clearly you are not animal lovers, and have no business bashing a place that actually loves animals!! Next time you want to complain about something so wonderful try looking at all of the people who arent complaining and realize that you have a serious issue!!!!

Kids at Heart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/08
The other morning, my husband and I decided to look on the internet for something to do as a daytrip. Well, we came across the land of little horses. On a whim, we traveled 2 ½ hours to Gettysburg to see the little horses. We ended up having the best time. The animals were so much fun! I just love how you can interact with the little horses (some of them just walk around the farm freely). They have other animals besides horses too. I would highly recommend this place for families with young children and any adults that are young at heart and love animals. I can’t wait to go back and visit!

GREAT PLACE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/08
I liked how the they don't just have horses, they have camels, alpacas, and big horses. I love this place! I think it's fun and not a waste of time. I would recommend it. I think that they could host a carnival and still not complain. I like how the staff really cares for the horses. I just love the show and can't wait to go back in the spring. C.B. age 10

We enjoy it there
By Rebecca, 01/20/08
We've been to the Land of Little Horses many times over the years that we've been raising our children. We always enjoy ourselves there and enjoy seeing the animals. It's a clean place and the animals are well taken care of. There is ample staff to care for the animals. It's not a huge place which makes if perfect for families with small children. There's a nice gift shop and the food at the snack bar is good and a good value. We look forward to going again when it opens in the Spring.

Animals Not Well Cared For
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/07
I've been to this place 3 times & the first 2 visits were ok. But the last time, I vowed never to return. The animals seem neglected. On a hot day in late May, some of the animals didn't appear to have any water & many fo the enclosures don't offer shade for the animals. Some of the animal pens really needed to be cleaned (poop everywhere). I truly felt sorry for these animals. Don't give this place your money! If you want to see animals & support a good cause, visit the Fairfield Zoo about 15 miles away from gettysburg. They rescue animals & care for them very well.

Wonderful place
By ann, 09/19/07
We have been several times to the Land of Little Horses. It is a clean place, the animals look very well cared for and are sweet and friendly towards children. The little show is cute. We try to go up there every year, it's a nice family treat.

Best time ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/07
We had some time to kill in Gettysburg this weekend so we took our 2 year old daughter. She squealed with joy the moment she saw the little horses and laughed and giggled all whole day long. She loved giving them hugs and kisses and was fascinated by the show in the arena. The place wasn't too crowded and every child there looked to have a wonderful time. I only wished we had more time to spend. We were there for three hours and there was so much we didn't get a chance to see. I especially appreciated how the staff encouraged adopting strays from the SPCA. It was sweet that the dogs in the show were rescued. All the animals seemed to be well taken care of, which made a big difference. We ate lunch at the snack bar and it wasn't too bad. There was a birthday party and the kids working the counter were having a great time laughing and joking with each other. It made for a very pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to the entire staff for such for an awesome day!

Great break for small kids from all the historical sites!
By LORI, 06/29/07
This was the perfect break for my small children! They love animals and it broke up the "boredom" for them with all the historical sites that they aren't quite able to appreciate yet.
