Due to a poor setup in the restaurant and forgetful employees, I was accused of attempting to walk out on a bill. The employee's tone was rude and accusatory, and I was not even offered an apology after they were proven wrong. There's a decent chance they have lost a customer for life.
The only thing that makes this diner worth while is that it's 24/7. The food is mediocre, the menu in mundane, and the service was average. Recommended only if its 2:30am and you're starving to death. In that case, it may be your only option.
We tried this restaurant because of the rating from this site and were completely disappointed. We ordered two of the more expensive offerings from the menu (NY Strip Steak and local Crabcakes) and both were abysmal.
The Lincoln Diner is that old fashioned dinor experience. It is that fifty's throwback that we all enjoy. Their food is very good, generous and reasonably priced. But. . . the best part is the desserts. No place better to eat dessert than at the Lincoln Diner. Save room because they are to die for. We make it a must to stop ther whenever close by.
The Lincoln Diner is a great place to eat anytime of the day or night. We always make a point of eating there whenever we are in Gettysburg. Great menu, great food, great service, excellent value. We enjoy the diner atmosphere and appearance.
The Lincoln Diner is one of our favorite places to eat in the Gettysburg area.
Take it from a local - this is the best place for a middle of the night meal! You can have lots of fun with the waitresses & the food is excellent! You can even cause some trouble & they'll still let you come back! Its a great place to go after 'ghost hunting' on the battlefield! Late night breakfast rocks at the diner!
