Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/09
I pull a large fifth wheel RV from the State of Michigan to come and stay at this park, I fish Oil Creek and the lake in the park. Its a blessing that this park is where it is, it's a wonderful location and the park service is outstanding, I always welcome, I'm always treated well, and I have "no complaints" I visit on the Memorial Day week endand as you know ,those are always busy times.

Info lacking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/08
You need to update your wed site. Example: Hours the beach is open and the cost of admission, rentals etc. Also, any special events. What other attractions are available at the park?

Turning around
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/08
The park is now under management by the county once again and things are improving rapidly. The post dated from 2006 that reflected poorly is no longer an issue. The park is in great shape and the fishing is wonderful. You can catch everything from trout, small/large mouth bass, 20 lb carp, muskee, pike, and blue gill in this lake. The trails are wonderful and the pavilions are a nice place to hold a gathering with electrical hook ups and charcoal grills. Although I haven't done this, I guess you can rent one of two houses located a mile from the lake for a good rate if you don't have a camper or tent. Last thing is you can only use an electric motor in the lake so make sure you have one! Enjoy this gem of a park as soon as you can.

Management needs a better attitude
By The Dining Man, 05/24/07
This park is in a beautiful setting with some nice, if not spectacular, trails and very scenic lake. The beach area is OK while the campgrounds sites are very well done. Primitive area D is very primitive without a lot of flat spaces to put a tent. Areas A and B (electric and water) are spacious and well laid out. The prime sites are the lakefront one in Area E. Well worth paying the extra $5/night for a site. Drawbacks to this park are spotty maintenence and less than stellar attention to cleanliness. The bathhouses need more attention then they get, especially during holiday weekends. Beach area also needs better clean up. Most disconcerting is that management is not customer friendly. I believe the county outsourced operations to a private company, so you'd expect service above a public bureacracy. Well, not only is service less than stellar, but we found management response to our concerns to be downright hostile. Shame since the park is off the beaten track, the park has great potential to be a jewel .

Very Dirty Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
Stayed there over the 4th of July weekend. Bathrooms were terrible, very dirty, and sewage was spilling into the lake next to the campgrounds. Managers were rude when brought to there attention.

Can't wait to visit again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/06
The place is amazing!!! The way the campground is set up is great, people have the option to have a site with or without electric. People can also get a site for their campers that has direct sewage hookup, electic, and water. Things to do while your there range from swimming in the beautiful lake they have right in the middle of the park (which I have never seen a lake so clear before!)biking, hiking/backpacking, and they even show movies on the weekends outside. I guess there are even plans to build cabins and treehouses(they do have one treehouse done already and it is just marvelous) around parts of the lake which will make it even more attractive than it already is!! Like I said before the Two Mile Run County Park is an amazing place to send time away from home and me and my family can't wait to go back!!! Tom
